Richard Ellis is a world-renowned Reiki master and author, with books that have reached thousands of readers. His work online had spread across a patchwork of separate services: his classes, his books, his training, his retreats. He wanted it all in one place, with a single point of administration and someone to call when he needed a hand.

The starting point
Brilliant at his work, let down by his tools
Richard had been running his own site and, like a lot of people who are exceptional at what they do, had never quite found a web developer he could rely on. His presence online had spread across a handful of separate third-party services: one for class bookings, others for his books, his training and his retreats.
It worked, after a fashion, but it meant juggling several systems with no single place to manage any of it. What he really wanted was everything under one roof, with support on hand when he needed it.
The build
One home, built around him
We started by looking at what Richard was doing, and more importantly what he wanted to be able to do. Then we built a new website to match: booking for his regular Qigong classes, his upcoming retreats and how to reach him about them, his full library of Richard Ellis Reiki books, his training, and his one-to-one treatments, all in one place and all his to manage.
As much as anything, the site reflects Richard himself: how he approaches life, and how he helps and teaches others to do great things through Reiki.
